Description

A George IV social hunt table, in mahogany with half-moon shaped top extendable ends, pivoting brass chariot, removable centre leaf on four turned legs with brass cup castors, circa 1815.

The table is designed in such a way that it could be used in a multitude of functions. The centre holding a warming beverage could be slid around the table on its track to serve the huntsmen. The chariot could be removed to allow a member of staff to serve. The table could be used as a serving station, with centre leaf installed, and placed against a wall as a buffet.

Our showroom in Straffan, county Kildare, is housed in a number of old farm buildings. There's also a café on the grounds serving delicious food, great coffee and tea.
