Description

Good 19th century pair of Chinese Hongmu alter tables, the figured rectangular tops of cleated form above carved frieze centred by a carved and pierced panel of a dragonfly, flanked with trailing grapevine and lotus flowers, raised on moulded legs housing shaped open panel ends, terminating in carved scroll feet.

Excellent warm colour and good patination. All decoration is repeated on the reverse so can be freestanding.

Chinese circa 1880
