This original Edwardian colour lithograph print from the Vanity Fair Men of the Day series depicts the Australian-born actor Oscar Asche as Kismet for the musical, complete with its original published biography. The artwork is executed in ink on paper and shows a caricatured profile against a pale pink background. The illustrated figure wears a white turban adorned with a red flower, a white theatrical costume with a multicoloured striped sash, red bead necklaces, and upturned yellow pointed shoes while holding a wooden dagger. Visible details include the printed artist signature of Alick P.F. Ritchie in the lower right corner, alongside the publication heading at the top. The framed piece measures 51 cm high, 38 cm wide, and 5 cm deep. It hangs well on a narrow wall space in a gentleman's library, study, or hallway as a period theatrical decoration.

Published as weekly supplements in Vanity Fair magazine between 1869 and 1914, these colour lithographs featured prominent historical figures, actors, and public personages rendered in a distinctive full-length satirical portrait style.

Original prints were produced using chromolithography on woven paper, a planographic printing method utilizing individual limestone plates to layer coloured inks precisely.

Authentic prints feature the publication header printed in the top margin, correct issue numbers or dates, natural paper age toning, and smooth lithographic ink distribution without modern halftone digital dot patterns.

Display the artwork framed in a dark wood or gilt frame against a dark background, or incorporate it into a gallery wall collection within a library or home office.

Frame the print using acid-free mounting board and UV-protective glass, and display it in an environment away from direct sunlight and fluctuating humidity to prevent foxing.
