Webberley Antiques has dated these Neoclassical Bronze Side Tables to the 19th Century.
This is an independent date report produced by Sellingantiques using its own proprietary system. The process uses the photographs shown on this page. The system is never told the date the dealer has declared. This report shows that the two dates corroborate.

Four Hermes support each table top, with finely detailed wings and individual expressive faces, their hair tied back in ribbons below bronze head dresses, bare chested over a cabriole sciapod leg with single large foot. In Greek mythology these represent a combination of the winged Goddess Iris and the beast sciapod.

Extremely heavy and well made, in the Napoleonic Greco style and with a couple of very old bronze welded repairs, the principal to one sciapod legs on one table which is noticeable only on very close inspection.

An absolutely stunning pair of very fine bronze tables made in c. 1860.
It is extremely rare to find a true pair such tables in this superb original condition and retaining their original marble circular tops without breaks or chips.

Excellent colour and patina to the bronze and beautiful reds, golds and whites to the natural marble tops. The quality throughout is exemplary. Very strongly recommended.
Dimensions are:
25 inches high, 27 inches diameter at the tops and a maximum diameter of 36 inches at the widest point of the bronze Herm supports.
