London City Antiques has dated this French Rosewood Centre Table to the 1860s.
The flowing serpentine outline and fine brass border give the table a wonderfully refined appearance, showcasing the quality and craftsmanship of French furniture from this period.

The table is designed in the Louis XV manner, with a shaped frieze incorporating a discreet single drawer, decorated with fine string inlay. It stands on four beautifully curved cabriole legs, enhanced with delicate inlaid detailing and finished with ornate brass sabots.

A particularly versatile piece, this table would make a splendid centre table in an elegant drawing room, a statement side table in a sitting room or a decorative occasional table in a spacious hallway. Its attractive proportions and beautifully detailed top make it equally appealing when viewed from above or from any side.

An outstanding example of decorative French antique furniture, combining graceful proportions, beautiful rosewood veneers and intricate marquetry work.
