The following is an extract from ‘A History of British Taxidermy’ by C. Frost published back in 1987.

‘William Thomas Cox (1875-1951) followed his father into the taxidermy business in 1850. The firm apparently did some work for Queen Victoria and Edward VII’
Both father & son traded as Bill Cox of Liverpool, and both were named William Thomas Cox. They also worked from the same premises at 35 & 36 Manchester street. The business finally closed in 1951. The premises sadly are long gone, absorbed by major road and tunnel re development.
