Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

This 18th-century Hepplewhite period mahogany wine table brings classic English country house character to traditional and modern interiors alike. The dark brown timber exhibits a warm patina across its circular dished top, which features a raised moulded edge and sits above a carved and turned central pedestal column. The tripod base consists of slender cabriole legs terminating in pad feet, providing a stable foundation. Measuring 71 cm in height with a 49 cm width and 47 cm depth, this compact piece suits placement at the end of a sofa or beside an armchair to hold a reading lamp, drinks glass, or small decorative object. Practical and elegant, the table works well in a drawing room, study, or hallway as a lamp or wine table. The turned pillar includes ring-moulded details and fluted carving directly above the cabriole legs, while the tabletop shows subtle surface variations from age and use. Solid construction and traditional proportions allow the piece to integrate easily into various seating arrangements while maintaining its historic authenticity.

Originating in 18th-century Britain, wine tables were compact, portable occasional tables designed to hold glasses, decanters, or candle stands alongside seating in reception rooms.

These tables were typically crafted from solid Cuban or Honduras mahogany, featuring hand-turned central columns, dovetail joinery, and hand-shaped tripod legs with pad or swept feet.

Authentic period examples display hand-cut joinery on the underside, natural age-related wear on the feet and turned post, and subtle irregularities from manual lathe work.

A compact tripod wine table functions as an accent table beside an armchair, within a reading nook, or in a narrow hallway to support small table lamps, books, or decorative objects.

Position the piece away from direct heat sources and strong sunlight, dust regularly with a clean lint-free cloth, and apply beeswax polish annually to preserve the timber finish.
