Description

Antique 20th century drop leaf dining table in oak, a handsome and well-made piece of good quality, showcasing the fine craftsmanship of the period.

The table has a fixed central section with two generous drop leaves with rounded corners and a moulded edge. With both leaves lowered it folds down to a slim, space-saving size, and with the leaves raised it opens out into a comfortable dining table for family meals and entertaining.

It stands on four barley twist legs with squared blocks, joined by a shaped serpentine cross stretcher and raised on turned feet, giving the piece real character from every angle.

The oak displays an attractive figured grain and a warm, rich colour with a pleasing aged patina. The centre section of the top has mellowed to a lighter tone than the leaves, as can be seen in the photographs.

Presented in good condition. A very desirable and practical drop leaf table, perfect for a kitchen, dining room or smaller living space.
