S and S Timms Antiques Ltd has dated this Victorian Burr Walnut Table to the 19th Century.
The beautifully matched veneers are further complemented by the delicate scrolling marquetry inlaid decoration, whilst the unusual carved moulding to the edge is another highly decorative feature.

The quality of the carving continues through the boldly turned central column and down onto the elegant scrolling tripod legs, giving the whole table a particularly attractive and well balanced appearance. The tilting top also makes it a practical piece, allowing it to be stored in a corner and against a wall when not in use.

The table retains good colour and surface throughout, with the usual old marks, scuffs and minor imperfections associated with age and use all blending in nicely, which contributes very much to its charm and character.

A decorative and versatile little table which would work equally well in a traditional or contemporary home, whether used alongside a sofa or armchair, as an occasional lamp table, or simply as an attractive piece of furniture in its own right.

As with all our antique furniture, this table has been attended to in our workshops by our skilled traditional antique furniture restorers, ensuring it is structurally sound and ready for everyday use. It has also received an appropriate natural wax polish and is ready to be placed straight into the home.
