Art Nouveau lighting from the early 20th century features organic lines, sinuous curves, and stylized natural forms, often handcrafted in metals such as brass and copper.

Edwardian ceiling pendants were primarily constructed using solid cast or spun brass, often paired with hand-blown glass shades and decorative chain links.

Authentic pieces typically show evidence of hand-finishing, aged patina, original screws or threading, and sometimes maker marks stamped into the brass canopy or gallery.

Suspending a period brass pendant over a kitchen island or dining table creates a focal point, contrasting classic metalwork against clean contemporary lines.

Dust the brass surface regularly with a soft dry cloth, avoiding abrasive chemical cleaners that strip historical patina or original lacquer.
