Description

A very fine 19th Century Irish well figured mahogany silver table in the Georgian manner of exceptional quality, beautifully hand carved with stunningly rich patination and grain. The moulded top of rectangular form with a dished edge is raised above a classically simple, deep and shaped serpentine frieze which features an exquisitely carved centred scallop shell motif to both the rear and fore. Supported on elegantly tapering cabriole leg with gorgeous acanthus leaf detail on knee, terminating on a fabulous paw foot, finely carved in high relief.
