Founders Antiques has dated this William IV Rosewood Pole Screen to the 19th Century.

The shift towards a heavy triform base in the 1830s was a practical advancement in cabinet-making, lowering the centre of gravity to balance a larger framed banner without the instability of earlier Regency tripods.

Very good antique condition, showing light surface wear and minor polish crazing to the pole consistent with age and use. Structurally sound and ready for placement.
English, circa 1830.
