Description

A fine and rare Flight, Barr & Barr, Worcester Porcelain Rose Water Sprinkler c.1815. Of classical form, the spout formed from a bird with its wings outstretched, the handle from a serpent, both highlighted in gold, finely painted front and back with scattered roses and forget me nots. Complete with original flamiform stopper which also has white 'pearls'. 

Script mark in black to the base along with Coventry Street address.

Two examples of similar form rose water sprinkler are illustrated by Henry Sandon, Flight and Barr Worcester Porcelain (1978), p.162, pl.156

Condition: Very good. One corner just below the spout has loss of gilding along the edge.
