A beautifully craftsman made solid oak rocking book trug by Arthur Simpson of The Handicrafts Kendal in the 1920’s. Quite a rare piece and having the original metal makers label to the underside. Designed to rock towards you so you can extract a book or magazine that it holds. In fabulous condition and all a very good , original colour. Perfect to have bedside the sofa or armchair with reading material within. High quality which one would expect from an Arthur Simpson made piece.
