Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Popularised in mid-nineteenth-century Britain, croquet became a staple recreational outdoor game during the Victorian era, notably manufactured by prominent makers who standardised the equipment and regulations for lawn play.

Traditional sets featured turned hardwood mallets, painted wooden or composition balls, coated iron hoops, and turned scoring pegs, typically stored together within a fitted pine chest.

Authentic nineteenth-century pieces feature hand-turned wooden components, painted colour bands indicating player turns, heavy iron wire hoops, and original maker stamps or labels on the timber storage container.

The timber storage box and turned mallets function well as decorative accents arranged beside an entryway, placed within a conservatory, or styled in a boot room to enhance a traditional aesthetic.

Maintain the wooden elements in a dry, temperature-controlled environment away from excess moisture, apply clear beeswax to turned handles to preserve the finish, and dust metal hoops with a soft dry cloth.
