Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A lowboy is a small table with drawers, popular in the 18th century across Britain and North America, commonly utilised as a dressing table or side table.

Early English oak tables typically feature solid English oak construction, hand-dovetailed drawer joints, wooden peg joinery, and cast brass drop-ring handles.

Authentic 18th-century pieces display hand-sawn timber marks, natural patination in unworn areas, original hand-cut dovetails, and historic wear consistent with age.

An antique oak side table functions as a hallway console, bedside surface, or accent piece in modern schemes, providing texture alongside contemporary artwork and lighting.

Keep oak furniture away from direct heat sources and sunlight, and apply a high-quality beeswax polish annually to protect the timbers patination.
