Founders Antiques has dated this Georgian Wrought Iron Boot Scraper to the Georgian era.
Unlike urban scrapers often fixed into existing masonry, the monumental weight of this thick-section Yorkstone slab provides a self-supporting ballast for grand country house porticoes without disturbing existing flagstones.

Very good antique condition, exhibiting a rich, pitted patina to the ironwork and natural historic weathering to the stone base. Features a minor historic parting at the blade’s central forge-weld, yet remains structurally solid throughout with tight, stable lead-poured sockets, fully ready for placement.
English, circa 1800.
