A particularly attractive early 19th century pollard oak tilt-top breakfast table dating to circa 1835, displaying exceptional colour throughout.
The circular top shows beautifully matched pollard oak, arranged in a striking radial pattern that highlights the timber''s rich colour and dramatic grain.
The top is supported on a substantial turned and faceted central column, standing on a circular platform base with finely carved scroll feet and concealed castors, providing both stability and ease of movement. The table has a tilt mechanism, allowing the top to be raised vertically when not in use.
Presented in excellent condition with a mellow patina and a beautifully figured surface, this is a highly decorative and practical breakfast or centre table, ideal for both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Top diameter 136cm (53.5'')
