A good quality oak refectory dining table in the Jacobean revival taste, constructed in solid oak and standing upon a pair of finely carved baluster supports united by a substantial stretcher base. The shaped trestle feet and bold turned supports are richly carved with stylised leaf decoration, giving the table excellent character and architectural presence.
The rectangular top is beautifully figured with quarter-sawn oak borders framing inset plank-effect panels, displaying attractive grain and a rich warm oak colour throughout. The table extends by way of pull-out end leaves, allowing it to comfortably accommodate additional seating whilst remaining a practical size for everyday use.
