This Georgian New Hall tea bowl and matching saucer set is made from white porcelain with hand-painted enamel decoration and sits upon a dark wooden Edwardian display stand. The set displays a pink ribbon border around the rims alongside scattered floral sprigs and central hand-painted floral motifs featuring pink, purple, and green tones, presented in a handleless design with a deep saucer profile. The wooden stand has a turned circular base and a carved upper cradle to support each piece. As a small-scale antique porcelain set, it occupies minimal space, measuring approximately 12 cm across the saucer. In a modern home, this tea bowl and saucer set is suitable for display on a sideboard top or within a cabinet as part of an English country house interior scheme.

Produced in Staffordshire during the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, New Hall was renowned for manufacturing hard-paste porcelain teaware designed without handles following traditional Chinese tea-drinking customs.

Early English tea bowls were typically crafted from hard-paste or hybrid bone porcelain, decorated with hand-painted enamel botanical motifs and geometric rim borders.

Authentic pieces often feature distinctive hand-painted pattern numbers on the base, translucent white hard-paste bodies, and characteristic handleless bowl shapes paired with deep saucers.

Display the set on a tailored mantelpiece, inside a glass cabinet, or on a sideboard top on its dedicated wooden stand to add a subtle historic accent to contemporary spaces.

Wash gently by hand in lukewarm water using mild dish soap, avoiding abrasive sponges, dishwashers, or sudden temperature changes that could cause crazing.
