A finely potted Meissen hard-paste porcelain saucer from the Marcolini period, circa 1774–1814. The centre is decorated with a delicate still-life composition of fruit, vegetables and scattered flowers, executed in finely controlled polychrome enamels. The cavetto is enclosed by a distinctive blue ribbon-twist border enriched with gilding.The underside bears the underglaze blue crossed swords with star, identifying the Marcolini period.
