Description

This is an Antique Empire Period Ladies Oak Writing desk c1900-15. It is raised on turned feet with bobbin turned legs having Arts & Crafts influence which was still very prevalent at this point. The top lifts with a lock and key and there are pigeon holes sections to the right with a large open section to the left. It has a quadrant moulding to the top with a pale grey baise inset and is a nice mellow oak colour.

When this piece was made we ruled more than a 1/3 of the Planet, Our Navy was something to behold and be wary of, Goods and Products flowed from every corner of the planet to us. Our passport was blue as it will be again and we were proud to say we were British.
