An elegant Royal Worcester porcelain set comprising a teapot with cover together with a cup and saucer, produced in England in the early 1890s. The pieces are decorated on the distinctive blush ivory ground, a creamy satin-like glaze that became one of the most recognisable decorative finishes used by the factory in the late Victorian era. Light floral sprays are arranged across the surface including chrysanthemum blossoms. This flower became particularly fashionable in European decorative arts during the chrysanthemum craze of the late nineteenth century.
