An antique English porcelain bowl produced at the Worcester Porcelain Manufactory during the Flight, Barr & Barr period. The form is finely potted with gently rising sides and a lightly everted rim, finished with a delicate gilt edge characteristic of Regency Worcester tablewares.The decoration is executed in the celebrated Dragon in Compartments pattern. Four lobed cartouches on the exterior enclose a dragon and a qilin, separated by reserves of symbolic precious objects. The interior mirrors the scheme with four identical panels of auspicious objects arranged symmetrically.
