Lovely original condition.
In Japanese culture, a hatsuyume is the first dream one has in the new year, which traditionally would foretell the luck of the dreamer in the ensuing year, with dreams featuring Mount Fuji, a hawk and an eggplant considered especially lucky. This first dream typically occurs on the night of January 1st or January 2nd, and people traditionally place images of lucky symbols, like a treasure ship, under their pillows to encourage good fortune.
