An 18th Century Treen Fruitwood Apple Corer

This is a very good example of a fruitwood apple corer. It has so many attributes including the lovely colour and patina,  the decoration of diamonds and  the ovals around the open cage. The open lantern/cage has a ball inside. This piece is carved from one piece of wood.
