A rare George III Adam period carved pine and mahogany pedestal; the dished mahogany top above swagged husks to either side; the tapering support is then carved with an Adam style patera with a pendant on harebells; raised on a plinth base.
This Georgian pedestal is carved in the beautifully refined Adam style and was probably designed for displaying a large vase or sculpture. Circa 1780.
