Description

A Regency rosewood library table, circa 1820, finely inlaid with satinwood crossbanding and brass stringing. The rectangular top features twin drop leaves and two drawers to the front, mirrored by false drawers to the reverse. The base is supported by sabre legs terminating in original brass lion paw castors. The rich figuring of the rosewood is complemented by the delicate contrast of the inlay, showcasing refined craftsmanship typical of early 19th-century English cabinetmaking.
