Rare George V Three Piece Travelling Vanity Set by Israel Segalov

1900 - 1920
Description

A George V three piece travelling vanity set comprising mirror, brush and comb.

Each bearing the makers mark I.S for Israel Segalov, a jeweller who operated in Black Lion Yard, Whitechapel, London and who imported various quality items to the English market.

Each piece has the import mark for London and is dated to 1925. The brush and comb have a most unusual sliding mechanism, with a ‘Patent applied for’ is marked on the comb. Each piece is beautifully engine turned and fitted with a sapphire cabachon.

In original velvet and silk lined box.
