Description

A really charming pair of Folk Art hand carved fretwork panels in solid mahogany depicting wonderful Tree of Life designs with doves in the branches. The panels are beautifully carved in the Arts and Crafts style one with a horse and a cow beneath the tree and five birds in the branches, the other with a fine pair of stags and three birds above.

The fretworks are carved from solid mahogany and mounted on an antique red silk velvet with solid mahogany backboard behind.

These are a most unusual and rare pair of panels with a very aesthetic appeal and a classic Arts and Crafts styling to the work.

The panels measure 46 cms by 30 cms.
