Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Art Deco porcelain figures from the 1920s and 1930s typically feature stylised forms, clean lines, and influences from modernist art, often depicting dancers, animals, or theatrical subjects with dramatic gestures.

Katzhutte figures were crafted from high-fired hard-paste porcelain, finished with hand-painted overglaze colours and sometimes accented with metallic gilding.

Authenticity is verified by examining the makers marks or stamps on the base, assessing the quality of hand-painting detail, and checking for the characteristic weight and glaze consistency of the period.

Place the sculpture as a focal point on a mantelpiece, bookshelf, or glass-fronted cabinet where its sculptural silhouette and fine details can be appreciated without clutter.

Clean antique porcelain gently with a soft, dry feather duster or a microfibre cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners, immersion in water, or abrasive materials that could damage the hand-painted glaze.
