A superb pair of 19th century Chinese plant stands or lamp tables, beautifully crafted in solid hardwood in excellent antique condition. Each features a petal-shaped top with a finely carved beaded edge, inset with beautifully variegated pink marble inserts that echo the organic form of the design. Beneath the top, the shaped apron is enriched with a deeply carved foliated frieze on all sides, showcasing exceptional carving skill and lively decorative rhythm. The tables are supported by four square-cut legs with crisply carved detailing, united below by an elegant X-form stretcher—adding both structural integrity and visual harmony.
