Delicately modeled pair of Dresden porcelain figurines by Carl Thieme, circa 1900, depicting barefoot children in 18th-century attire engaged in seasonal fruit gathering. The boy holds grapes, the girl carries a basket of strawberries. Each figurine is finely hand-painted with vibrant polychrome colors and elegant gilt detailing. Clearly marked underneath with the Carl Thieme underglaze mark, and inscribed ''Dresden'' and ''Foreign,'' confirming production specifically for the American market under the McKinley Tariff Act of 1891.

Condition: Boy’s knife tip broken off; girl possibly missing a strawberry in her right hand, otherwise excellent condition with bright paint and gilding.
