Cotswold Oriental Rugs has dated this Uzbek Lakai Embroidered Textile to the 1920s.
Antique Uzbek Lakai tribe 'Saye Gosha' silk embroidered bed decoration.
Circa 1920/30.
They often formed part of the wedding dowry and were prized embroideries often used to decorate the inside of the yurt.
This is a later example with richly coloured silk embroidery on a dark cotton ground, the design is typical of Lakai work.
Excellent original condition.
