A magnificent carved oak winged griffin, circa 18-19th century, a superbly skilled Grand Tour carving of imposing presence, a former bench or table base support.

A 3 dimensional deeply carved and well constructed winged griffin with lions paw feet, former antique furniture piece fragment with a Grand Tour character which now is a fine decorative sculpture or an artist’s working aid for sculpture, design, architecture etc.., a very fine quality thing.

A stylish antique sculpture for a mantlepiece, bookcase etc.., an interior design piece of considerable decorative appeal for a classic or contemporary space.
