This attractive and functional 19th Century French farmhouse table, dating from circa 1840-1860, features a thick five-plank pine top with a delightful mellow colour and patina. It stands on a distinctive trestle-ended base with end stretchers, made from chestnut wood, and includes flat tapered legs and a drawer at one end. The table is in good, sturdy condition, with evidence of extinct woodworm and precautionary treatment applied, alongside historical minor restorations. It can comfortably seat eight to a cozy ten and has been raised at some point to provide ample knee clearance.
