Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

FAQs

A vendange table is a historic folding table originally utilised in the vineyards of France during the grape harvest season, designed with collapsible legs for ease of storage and transport between fields.

These tables are traditionally constructed from regional hardwoods such as oak, fruitwood, or pine, chosen for their durability and resilience to outdoor agricultural use.

Authentic pieces generally exhibit hand-cut joints, traditional peg construction, patination from decades of agricultural use, and iron or wooden folding mechanisms characteristic of 19th-century craftsmanship.

This piece can be incorporated into contemporary spaces by pairing it with minimalist seating to create contrast, using it as an occasional dining table in a kitchen, or displaying it folded against a wall as a decorative architectural feature.

Preserve the surface by dusting with a dry microfibre cloth and occasionally treating the timber with natural beeswax to nourish the wood without damaging the historic patina.
