This antique lustre footed bowl, in the ‘York Cup’ shape, was designed by Daisy Makeig-Jones for Wedgwood. The bowl exemplifies her distinctive Lustre style, which rose to prominence in the early 20th century.
The piece is adorned with vibrant, iridescent colors and intricate patterns. The interior features a deep blue surface speckled with a starry effect, while the exterior displays a rich orange hue with crimson mottling and gold accents, including a gilded butterfly motif.
