Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1930s.
There are superb bronze ormolu mounts throughout which are beautifully cast, with exceptional details. This is a lovely petite size, it is nicely finished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item. The key in the centre of the drawer is a dummy key that is actually just the handle.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent.
