A charming pair of 19th century, gilt framed intaglio plaster cameos, featuring a single side profile of a Roman emperor, possibly Caligula and multiple other emperors to the other.
Set behind glass within a giltwood box frame of the period and applied to marbled paper, the frame has a single wall fixing.
Each intaglio shows a timeworn patination and each contained within its original edging covers.
A splendid antique history subject of Grand Tour interested, good examples and attractive frame.
