A fine and rare pair of brass mounted flintlock pistols, signed Penterman, Utrecht, on either side of the cocks on the unusual brass locks.
The full walnut stocks with brass pommels and fully brass mounted including a pierced foliate side plate which includes a man on a cart possibly pulled by a large hunting dog.
This fantastic pair of pistols are by one of the finest Dutch makers and a number of pistols by him are illustrated in the Visser collection part 4. Circa 1710
