Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Regency furniture, spanning the late 18th to early 19th century, draws heavily on classical Greek, Roman, and Egyptian motifs, characterised by clean lines, dark woods like mahogany, and restrained classical ornamentation.

These tables are traditionally constructed from dense hardwoods such as mahogany or oak, featuring hand-turned pedestals, dovetail or pegged joints, and brass mechanisms for the tilting mechanism.

Authentic pieces often exhibit hand-cut joints, natural oxidisation in the timber grain, subtle tool marks from hand planes, and period-appropriate brass or iron fittings beneath the top.

A classic tripod table adds architectural warmth and function to contemporary spaces when used as a compact surface beside a sofa or as an occasional display stand in a minimal hallway.

Maintain antique timber by avoiding direct sunlight, keeping it away from heat sources to prevent wood splitting, and periodically applying a microcrystalline wax to nourish the polish.
