A fine example of a pair of 50 bore over and under percussion pistols by Smith and Alden, listed as London gun makers 1826 to 1835. They trained with the top makers and this shows in the quality and superb engraving and workmanship in these pistols.This superb pair of pistols show little sign of use and are in the most amazing original cased condition.Barrel length 13.5cm. Measurements featured are for the case.Our stock includes early oak and walnut furniture from the 18th century, as well as more formal pieces from the Georgian period. Clocks, barometers and globes are complemented by Colonial cabinets, furniture and early arms. Their scientific instruments, which include early microscopes, telescopes and equipment such as sextants, provide a fascinating insight into the evolution of technology, whilst demonstrating fine artistry and craftsmanship.
