A Pair of Large 18th Century Delft Jars.
Each with a brass cover, topped with an acorn finial, over domed bodies, falling in ogee concave and convex profiles to a rounded rim. The covers fitting within the rounded and concave necks of the jars, over rounded shoulders, the bodies tapering to a flat foot. The jars with pairs of good handles, in the form of barking dogs. The jars with ribbon gathered leaf reserves, titled ''TABAC ST OMER'' and ''TABAC DE Ire QUALITE'' respectively.
Date circa 1770.
