This nest of four Chinese hardwood tables dates from the nineteenth century in the Qing Dynasty style, finished in dark brown. Each table has a polished timber top supported by turned faux bamboo legs and a stretcher base beneath, complemented by intricate openwork carved aprons depicting vine leaves and grapes along the frieze in a graduated frame design. The largest table measures 67 cm high, 50 cm wide, and 35 cm deep, allowing the smaller pieces to slide neatly underneath when not in use.
