Made from sectioned wooden and dressed in hand made clothing. A larger than normal example which makes this quite rare and highly collectable in its quirky and characteristics look. A fairground game from France, the jeu de massacre was a common game in French fairgrounds were figures of local or national figures or enemy''s or even even mother in laws were hinged on a platform and balls were thrown to knock them down. The clothing has probably been updated over time but dates to the mid-20th century we assume. Rust on the reverse metal sections. The nose is attached in 2 sections, but this is how its was carved and is not broken. Overall, in very good condition considering its age and many years of use.
