This pair of Victorian earthenware vases dates from 1880, designed in an English Country House style. Each basket-form vessel features a cream glaze, an overhead arched handle, scrollwork detailing, and a raised floral cartouche on the body with a basketweave texture. The hand-painted polychrome decoration incorporates shades of red, blue, green, yellow, brown and pink, complemented by shaped pedestal feet at the base.
