Art Deco nesting tables emerged during the 1920s and 1930s, reflecting a modernist push for space-saving multifunctionality without sacrificing geometric elegance and fine craftsmanship.

Such pieces were typically constructed from high-quality hardwoods like oak, walnut, or mahogany, often featuring figured grain veneers, mortise and tenon joints, and sturdy sledge bases.

Authentic period pieces often feature makers stamps or paper labels, characteristic geometric silhouettes, age-appropriate timber patina, and traditional joinery rather than modern fixings.

They work effectively as versatile accent pieces in a living room, serving either stacked together to save floor space or separated to hold lamps and decorative objects.

Maintain the timber by dusting regularly with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding direct sunlight and excessive humidity, and occasionally applying appropriate natural wax polish.
