Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Originating during the early 18th century in the Qing dynasty, Famille Rose refers to Chinese porcelain decorated with opaque overglaze enamels dominated by pink and rose tones.

These vessels are crafted from dense kaolin clay, fired at high temperatures, and decorated with polychrome overglaze enamels including pink pigments derived from colloidal gold.

Authentic pieces feature hand-painted brushwork with slightly raised enamel texture, subtle irregularities from hand-throwing, and natural age wear on the unglazed foot rim.

A Chinese export vessel serves as a classic focal point when positioned on a sideboard top, placed within a reading alcove, or paired with contemporary artwork.

Dust regularly with a dry, soft cloth, and clean gently with warm water when necessary, avoiding chemical detergents or abrasive pads that could damage overglaze enamels.
