Strictly Vetted Dealers

Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

The Sustainable Choice

Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This Art Deco pub table dates from 1930 and follows classic period styling. The piece is constructed from stained hardwood in a dark brown timber finish, comprising a circular top with moulded edges supported by four square section legs and a cross stretcher. Distinctive details include stylised ball feet, visible wood grain patterns throughout the dark surface, and minor surface wear along the rounded rim of the top. The table measures 76 cm high, 50 cm wide, and 50 cm deep. It works well placed in an empty corner of a living room, hallway, or study as a compact surface.

FAQs

Art Deco pub tables typically feature clean geometric lines, streamlined profiles, and functional wooden construction originating from the 1920s and 1930s.

These tables were commonly manufactured using dense hardwoods such as oak, beech, or mahogany, often finished with dark stains and protective varnishes.

Authentic pieces generally exhibit geometric design motifs, tapered legs, period mortise and tenon joinery, and minor age-related wear to the original finish.

An antique pub table functions effectively as a compact occasional drinks table placed beside an armchair, within an alcove, or as a hall accent.

Dust regularly with a soft lint-free cloth and apply a natural beeswax polish periodically while ensuring liquid spills are wiped up promptly.
